Congratulations to Patricia and Jeremy!

Many congratulations and best wishes to my sister Patricia and her husband Jeremy on their first family addition! Cole was born just after midnight January 5th.  Thank you both for letting me invade your home to do his portraits, and I hope you and everyone else enjoys them.

Happy Holidays

We hope that everyone is having a wonderful holiday season so far.  We've been busy with the pre-Christmas rush and we're happy to have a much needed break for a few days. Between Family Portraits and Graduations we managed to help celebrate a very special wedding engagement, the Sunday just before Christmas.  It was super special and she was completely caught by surprise.  In the mean time we are looking forward to the New Year with new ideas, new and exciting changes in the photo world and sharing that with all of our wonderful clients!

Carter's 1st Birthday

Congratulations to Carter!  He'll be celebrating his first birthday very soon.  It's hard to believe that it was more than three years ago when we did maternity portraits for Jen & Ari (and the soon to be Claire, his older sister).  We've included a image of Claire back for her first birthday portraits in 2009.  Thank you Jen and Ari for continuing to trust us with your family's milestones.

Fall Colors 2011

 It's peak Fall color season.  Make sure you schedule family portrait sessions before it's too late.  We still have some opening next week from Sunday through Friday so make you give us a call soon!

In the mean time I've been spending my early mornings up in the mountains!  Here's just a sampling from the Newfound Gap area. I also have some from Cades cove to be posted soon.  Otherwise, once the rain stops were going back outdoors!

Nick's Senior Portraits

Kathy & Martin

Congratulations to Kathy and Martin who recently got married at Xavier's beautiful Bellarmine Chapel with a reception at the equally beautiful Memorial Hall in downtown Cincinnati!  We've known Kathy and Martin for some time as they are very active in the Loveland community.  The wedding was beautiful and fun and they uniquely owned their reception.  In an industry where we, as photographers, can see a lot of the same types of weddings, the subtle differences make a wedding unique, and Kathy and Martin certainly did that.   The Virginia Reel was definitely a fun highlight!  We are very grateful that we had the honor of being a part of an occasion where everyone felt like family. Thank you Kathy and Martin, and we wish you many happy years to come.

Memorial Hall Cincinnati, OH

While in Cincinnati last weekend photographing a wedding, I had the opportunity to photograph some of the features of Memorial Hall downtown.  This place is simply beautiful!  On the lower level are two connection beautifully sunlit ballrooms connected by a central hallway where our couple celebrated their wedding reception.  More on them in an upcoming post!  Built in 1908 by the Grand Army of the Republic, a post Civil War organization of former Union soldiers, it has served as the home of the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra and the American Classical Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
